Will this damage my countertop/surfaces?
It definitely can. Because it’s extremely hot steam, the easiest rule of thumb is just the kettle test: if you wouldn’t want to spill boiling water from your kettle onto it, keep the steamer away from it.

How does steam do a better job than bleach?
It depends entirely on where and how you use it.
Sprays work chemically, which means they leave a residue and fumes behind. Steam works physically. The heat melts the bond between the surface and the grime so you can just wipe it away. If you are trying to lift stubborn dirt without breathing in chemicals or scrubbing for an hour, you are in the right place.
Does it REALLY clean absolutely everything?

The job I kept putting off
Used for the first time today easy and quick to set up/heat up. It's fine on sealed hard surfaces like tiles, glass, metal, sealed stone and most worktops. Go gently on heat-sensitive bits like waxed or unsealed wood and thin plastics, and test a hidden corner first if you're unsure. And steer well clear of anything electrical.
